Kentucky Site Bank Evaluation

The site bank is intended to provide information to project developers and educate local and state officials about Kentucky sites capable of accommodating coal conversion facilities. The Department for Energy Development and Independence initiated the site bank process in August 2006 by soliciting nominations from various state and local officials as well as utilities and coal companies. Nineteen of the 21 nominated sites were evaluated.
